Near the Stone Bridge in Zamora in a warehouse that formerly worked as well with snow or ice field is the restaurant La Bodega del Arrabal, who arrived by chance looking for where to eat after a stroll through the nearby Toro. The first thing you notice is the low temperatures in the area near the entrance, which was stored in the snow in winter time for later use throughout the year. Below is the typical winery built Zamora where temperatures are not as extreme. It helps create a warm and pleasant high chimney ¿? by entering the sunlight always welcome.

Grilled Octopus

Asked to share as starters grilled octopus, a very typical dish in these parts, with shrimp and garlic sauce, very good. Accompany the octopus with some artichokes with ham, asparagus and a really tender.

Artichokes and Ham Trigueros

The waitress, as there is no letter, offered as main dishes meat (pork, lamb, steak, lamb chops and post) and grilled fish (sea bass, monkfish, turbot). We opted for the lamb chops and the post.

Post

The post is a cross-rounded and high, with gristle and fat, dark red cube-shaped. This is the first piece that desposta of hindquarters. Was prepared with a vinaigrette sauce with garlic and parsley. The meat is very tender and delicate for my taste but the sauce with too much vinegar taste.

Lamb Chops

The chops are very rich, true suckling but an unfortunate side dish served with cabbage and cooked carrots!

All accompanied by a wine from Toro, Crianza domain of the Blessed. Balanced and intense, with good tannins typical of the grape Tinta del Pais raised in French oak barrels.

Profiteroles Tiramisu

The desserts were chocolate banana mousse, profiteroles and tiramisu. The food came out 35 euros per person. In short, La Bodega del Arrabal is a good choice for lunch or dinner in Zamora with a good value.
