I think this Indian restaurant in Copenhagen is the first opened in Scandinavia. Funded by the Ahluwalia family for over 35 years, apparently an Indian family who moved from England to Denmark to learn that there was no restaurant that offered this type of cuisine, decided to open one.
When it opened was in another location in Vesterbro, but for quite some time is in the center of Copenhagen close to the famous Tivoli Park. The facade of the place is not very appealing and not too inviting to enter, but once inside you recognize certain personality and authenticity in place.
Your room will accommodate more than one hundred twenty guests, is large and quite transparent, but the decor is somewhat cluttered and slightly stale, although many details of India rather messy.
I was alone and I started the meal with a couple of vegetable samosas. Quite rich, well-developed, large and well filled accompanied by four sauces, two of mint, raspberry and a spicy another.

Continued with a delicious soup Murgh Narial shorba based spicy curry chicken with cilantro, perhaps what I liked most about the food. As a main dish chicken korma rich but somewhat strange. The curry was well prepared, although perhaps less creamy sauce than it should, and it was strange that the dish was accompanied by onions, tomatoes and chopped fresh cilantro. Though rich korma was quite different from the recipe in that soil to be used. Accompanying saffron basmati rice good point but somewhat bland cheese and nam was easily overcome, seemed overheated.
To drink a beer pint cobra ideal accompaniment to this meal.
The right service, beautiful fountains where they served Indian dishes and the right price, for a somewhat expensive but keep in mind that the food we ate I asked two people perfectly, in fact left over. The problem is that when you put socks reasons only and all the menus, they had several, were for at least two people.
If you are in Copenhagen and I want Indian food is an option. You have some photos .
