Yesterday, as part of the activities of my newly completed convention on the island of Tenerife , we celebrate the last meal in a seafood restaurant called La Vieja in Adeje, Tenerife.
As many of you know La Vieja is a rock fish typical of these latitudes and in particular on the island of Tenerife. Therefore it is named after cutting local sailor. We are told this is one of the best places to fish is eaten on the island, so that expectations although high, are severely constrained by having to organize a menu pear over a hundred people.
The Restuarante is on the edge of the promenade on the sea, but honestly this part of the coast has no special attraction, but from the terrace where we ate could see the sea and enjoy the marine Birsa.

The menu was typically organized as expected sailor and although we started with a plate of ham and cheese varied on the island, still with a tomato bread with anchovies, which noticeably scarce remarkable anchovies and continue with a carpaccio of tuna and Old. The carpaccio made with good fish but it was bland, something hot and a touch of cloves as a marinade, which I personally do not hit me.

We continue with a Garlic Prawn pots with good oil and good garlic, but the last thing gamba. Seaworthy clams, fresh, something tasty and the seafood very atomatada. The last of the pots were a correct mussels, also quite fresh and the sauce somewhat lighter.
As a main course menu of the day and Fish announced this would be depending on what the sea had left, finally sorry it were a simple and correct grilled sea bass and we had no chance to try something more typical of the island as famous Old or Sama, or Cherne or Grouper. To accompany the bass, in addition to their garrisons, served us a wrinkled potatoes cooked and served with crackers mojo rojo and mojo verde, much better the first than the second.
Definitely a place with expectations, somewhat disappointed, but again we can not judge properly as it is a closed menu.
Now I would have liked to try the Lobster risotto with announcing a sign written in chalk on your kitchen.
As always you have some photos .

Maybe, God willing, as a family could visit this place and meet expectations.
Why do you say this?, I am a very lucky in many ways, but particularly with the weather during my holiday periods and not talk about where I had lunch. Anyway, I'm kind of amulet (Hahaha). I'm sure that day will fish Vieja, did not even know existed.
We shall see.
